Shooting Sports Merit Badge Completion @ Camp Wisdom - 8/20

Posted on Jul 25 2022 - 3:04pm

This event is put on by the Circle Ten Shooting Sports Committee to help Scouts who didn't complete the Shooting Merit Badge (Archery, Rifle, Shotgun) at Winter/Summer/other camps get the opportunity to complete the merit badge.

The event is not for starting the merit badge, no instruction (outside of shooting help) is given. Any open requirement can be worked on, but if it's not one of the shooting scoring requirements, the Scout needs to have the knowledge needed to satisfy the requirement prior to coming to the event. We are not teaching the class, just working on open requirements.

In order to get credit for the requirements completed, you MUST bring a Blue Card from your unit that can be signed off by the counselor at the range.

Posted on Jul 25 2022 - 9:55am
Hello, my name is Shreenaya Prabu, and I am a Life Scout in Troop 844 based in Coppell, Texas. I am a senior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory. I have been involved with Scouting since 2019 through Venturing and Scouts BSA. This service project will help me utilize the skills I learned from Scouting to achieve the Eagle rank, the highest rank in Scouts BSA, and give back to my community.
